Release #6 AUGUST 2026
Welcome to Bring It Home - August 2026.
Thank you so much for being here and for taking the time to listen and check out this series. It means a lot to have a community of supporters gathering around music, stories, and creative expression.
I'd love to hear from you. Please leave a comment below and let me know what resonated with you this month, what songs you're enjoying, and what you'd like to hear more of in the months ahead.
HOLDING ON
Holding On is an older song of mine that I recently came back to and found a new way into. This version is stripped down, raw, and intimate, and it reminded me why I loved the song in the first place. Sometimes an old tune just needs a little time and distance before it tells you how it wants to be played.
Slip Slidin’ Away (Paul Simon)
Paul Simon has always been one of the greatest songwriters ever to me, and Slip Slidin’ Away hits especially hard right now. I recorded this version in honor of my sweet Aunt Kathy, who recently passed away after a three-year battle with cancer. There’s something about this song’s reflection on time, love, and how quickly life moves that feels super meaningful right now. This one is for sweet Aunt Kathy.
Hidden Jam: Flowmotion - Gots Mine (Jet Deck 11.27.2004)
This month’s Hidden Jam takes us back to 2004, with Flowmotion playing Gots Mine at the legendary Jet Deck. This recording captures the band in that raw, high-energy zone when we were playing constantly, traveling, and really finding our sound together. I love the crowd singing with us at the end of the song! There’s no video from this one just a great old live recording that still feels alive more than 20 years later. I love digging these moments out of the archive and sharing them.
THANKS AGAIN FOR CHECKING OUT MY WORK!
