Release #3 MAY 2026
Welcome to “Bring It Home”. Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my work. I’m grateful and honored to have supporters in this space where we can connect over our shared love of music and art. Please leave me a comment below and let me know what you liked and what you want to hear from me in the coming months.
TRACK ONE: GOING IN
This one has been quietly following me around for years.
“Going In” was recorded a long time ago while Flowmotion was touring through California. I always loved the rawness of this version, but somehow it always slipped to the back burner and has stayed there for years. No better time than the present!
Listening back now, the song feels just as relevant to me as when I first wrote it. Maybe even more.
The older I get, the more I realize how easy it is to get pulled in every direction by noise, pressure, expectations, and distraction. This song is a reminder to return inward. To slow down. To listen. To trust your own compass - which for me is a constant challenge. “Begin Again”…as they say in meditation:) Going In helps me do that.
Track 2 - “hidden jam” - so easy
Live at Chateau St. Michelle
Welcome to “Hidden Jam” - So Easy live at Chateau Ste Michelle Winery
This month’s Hidden Jam is a special one.
“So Easy” is a never-officially-released Flowmotion tune co-written with Genevieve Hayton. This performance was captured during the pandemic at Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery for a livestream event on an absolutely blazing summer day.
Such a strange and unforgettable moment in time.
The band that day was an absolute dream lineup:
Andy Coe on guitar, Joe Doria on Hammond organ, Mark Mattrey on bass, Bob Rees on percussion, and Scott Goodwin on drums.
So much heart and soul in this performance. Watching it now feels like opening a time capsule from a surreal chapter in all of our lives.
I’m really grateful this recording resurfaced from the vault. Maybe someday we’ll finally make a proper studio version.
WASTE - PHISH COVER SONG
RECORDED SOLO 5.26.26
Waste - a sweet Phish cover tune!
This one belongs to Rose.
A little over two years ago, I met an incredibly beautiful woman named Rose Lathrop, and somehow it immediately felt like we had already known each other forever.
What blew our minds was discovering how many times our lives had almost crossed over the years. Same music scene. Same festivals. Same friends. Same concerts. Even our kids knew each other from meeting up at multiple Summer Meltdowns. We had been orbiting each other for decades without ever meeting.
One day she told me this was one of her favorite Phish songs, so I learned it and sent her a little version while we were apart and missing each other.
Later that year, we traveled to Colorado together to see Vulfpeck at Red Rocks. Phish happened to be playing nearby that same weekend, so naturally we went. They didn’t play this song, and we figured that was that.
But the next night, during Vulfpeck’s encore, the band unexpectedly sat down and softly played WASTE while lightning flashed in the distance and fireworks exploded far away over Denver. I can’t even begin to explain or put into words this moment… but hopefully you get the gist.
It felt like the universe leaned over and whispered directly into our ears.
Rose and I melted together that night.
To Rose — happy birthday baby. I’m endlessly grateful for you, our connection, and this beautiful life we’re building together.
